190D Serpentine Belt replacement
Hi,
I have a 1986 190D and can not find anything on the internet that explains how to change the serpentine belt. I have found an explanation for the 190E but nothing for the diesel. I am waiting on a service manual but will be taking a trip soon and the belt looks like it is ready to go. It looks pretty tight with not much room to work in front of the radiator without removing it. I was also considering just loosening the alternator and trying to get the belt on that way. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! |

Alec300SD,
That is a great resource. I have a 1986 190D 2.5 automatic. I believe I have a 602.911 engine. I can't find anything in that manual or online that walks you through the replacement of the vacuum control shut-off valve. I have found info. on the 190E but not the 190D Do you know where I could find that? Thanks. |
