1995 E300D auxilliary fans run full-time

Good day.

Some months ago, my E300D's A/C blower motor started running intermittently, no matter which function buttons were being selected. By intermittent I mean some days it would run and the next day it would not.

So, now the A/C blower has decided to blow again, it cools and heats, the weird thing is now, even while cold starting , the auxiliary fans run even while the engine is cold.

Any advice would be very welcome.
