plug for brake lines

When removing calipers or flexible brake lines, either the end of the flex line or the end of the hard line needs plugging.

Being a golfer, I always have golf tees handy and have used those. But they really are too big, so always have to sand them down. I am about do do this, so thinking about a better way. Any good ideas? Maybe look in wife's sewing supplies?? Plastic knitting needles? Rubber plugs would be best.

Picture borrowed from site we can't mention
