om606 tensioner oil seal

I've had to replace 2 hoses under the tensioner, and the belt shock absorber a few times due to oil contamination. I just figured out its coming from the timing chain tensioner.

is there a procedure for changing the just oil seal?

im guessing the tensioner will have to be removed. my fear is getting the tensioner out of adjustment and screwing up the timing.

any help is appreciated

I had to back off the tensioner on an OM603 to replace the lifters so not applicable and not hard to do. Heres a thread from awhile back with suggestions, crush ring, and procedure.

Doesnt say what "tension" to set the tensioner to.
