Interior lights do not go on with doors open

I can switch on manually at overhead light.
This is a 84 euro 300d. Do the interior lights route through the seat belt buzzer relay. I have no buzzer. I do have buzzer if lights stay on and door opened. I took drivers kickpanel off, but no silver buzzer seen, nor a place it would attach
Did euro cars come with seat belt buzzer?
