turn signals stopped working
I was driving today and both my turn signals stopped working. The wipers, and high beam switch still work on the stalk. Also the emergency flashers still work. I figure it's not the fuse or the flasher relay...where should I check first? It's a 1990 300d.
thanks, James

I am going to go down and check the fuses now.

Turn the flashers on and off a few times and check the fuses with a test lamp or a volt meter. Confirm power in AND power out of the fuses.

Well sure enough it was just the fuse, needing a twist back and forth. I forgot that there would be a separate power source for the flashers and the turn signals. When the flashers continued to work, I started thinking about the steering column, lever, wires, etc. Glad it was so simple!
