Been putting this off for a couple of months with a box of new belts waiting. So since I have a 2500 mile trip coming up a week from Sunday I decided to do this royal PIA chore today. I would rather replace the turbo drain seal twice before doing this again! The power steering belt is a piece of cake, the water pump alt. belts are not to bad, but the A/C belt was a nightmare. First off all the bolts must have been put on with a 1000lb air hammer and welded themselves together. Then after getting them loose there was no way to pivot the compressor enough. Just didn't want to go more than about an inch. So I ended up taking it off the mounts. Not hard to do, but not easy getting it all lined back up to mount again. Took about 2 1/2 hours for this one belt, 4 hours overall.
To put into perspective I did the same thing on the 240d with A/C last week in 45 minutes. Guess I am 300d challenged.
