We have a 1999 ML430 that beeps very loudly when we are going forward, but not when we reverse or have it in park. I know she is really old, but she’s more like a pet now. She’s in great shape otherwise and I would drive her more, if we could just figure out what the problem is.

The BAS ESP, ETS and ABS lights come on when this happens. We haven’t found a mechanic that knows what the problem is. We are hoping someone on here will reach out to us if they have experienced this. TIA

UPDATE. I gave some wrong info. My husband just informed me that Mercy beeps in reverse, also. It’s been a while since I drove her.

Find someone that can read the codes and have them read. Let us know what comes uo. Sounds like a sensor issue to me.
