SBC flush

I’m the second owner of a 2005 e320 cdi. The SBC system has been flushed regularly by the dealer. The last time at 98k when I owned it. It now has 133k and needs front break pads and probably rotors. The price for that work parts and labor seems reasonable about $600 ; but $350 for flushing the system seems pretty steep. I wonder if it’s necessary. I live in the Bay Area Ca. and I usually take it to an independent Mercedes shop.
