where is high pressure ac port on an 85TD

I'm working on an 85TD and want to see whether the AC system will hold vacuum. It has 134 size fitting so I ass/u/me it's been converted.

I've found the low side port but where is the high side located? I've followedcthe high pressure line from the condenser to the firewall and looked at generic diagrams but don't find it.

Its on a steel pipe behind the alternator, up near the engine block.

Thanks, It's hidden. There was 15# of pressure so I'll wait until the dash is in before doing anything else. The AC hasn't been used in at least 4 years as the car has been sitting.

Our ac systems are finicky. 15# is a good sign.
It means you don't have a massive leak.
Keep in mind the compressor has a built in constant leak, and r134 leaks out twice as fast as R12 does.
I'd get some r152 (I think anyway) the spray duster cans, and a can tap kit, and recharge it with that.
Much better performance than 134, and better for the environment too.

Thanks, finishing this will have to wait. The interior including the climate switches is out and the truck's clutch started slipping in 5th gear.

Keepinb the truck functional takes priority.
