What call is a 240d

Hi, Is the 1980 Mercedes 240 d associated with a specific class or is it just known as a W123….the alignment sho wants to know. Thanks

123 for series... chassis might have a different number.

X2...Not an S, not a T etc.

The applicable alignment shop spec. literature may show W123 or 123 or 240D.
77-85 was the W123.

Yeah, they were asking me, C, or S class....

The specs were under W123.

Just picked the car up. They did a great job; the car is straight as an arrow going down the highway and drives better than ever. Also, got the printout of the alignment.

This has it is an E class.

However, I think that is normally associated with gasoline versions. But the alignment would be the same.
