Someone posted a quick easy way to remove the hood.

It was something like the FSM, raise the hood to 90 degrees and remove the clips but there was something else before knocking out the pins which hold it to the hinges. Was it to lower the hood back to the ~30 degree angle after removing the clips and before knocking out the pins and bushings?

I am at the stage where the hood needs to come off for a more sanding, primer glaze and more primer then sanding for base coats now.

I have a helper today only so thanks in advance for the advice.

I intend to install a new hood pad when it's upside down on the bench.
