That's a handy trick, but why would anyone ever need to open the hood of a W123??? :)

The way parts for W123's are being discontinued getting some parts could be good investment even if you only sold them later.

Another place this method could be helpful is if you found a W123 at junkyard that you could not get the hood open on.

Oh man what a neat trick! I’ve seen some 123s with broken cables and levers while bottom feeding on Craigslist.

Almost makes me want to remove the screw as a precaution. I'll at least look at it before there's a problem.

This would work on a 126 too.
