Installed new Ansa downpipe on 82 300SD

I acquired this new downpipe and installed it on my car last month. It fit quite well and replaced the OE pipe that had been pitted and broken at the flex joint. I’d patched it with soup cans and muffler paste for a few years but this last time it sprung a leak I realized it was more soup cans than original pipe.

Happy to get this bolt in replacement for less than $200. The fit is perfect. Bolted right in.

A few hours after I installed this my house in Altadena burned down. I forgot to share it in all the confusion. The car survived as did I. That’s what matters.

Gotta laugh at everything.
