Pelican sticker

Had to share this. My wife saw this sticker in my pelican shipment. Since my cars are plastered with them, as are my tool boxes, I left it on the mantle. She modified it. She hated our 300TD because it had issues and me fixing it day and night back in 2005 drove her nuts. So she modified the sticker with a black marker so it wouldn’t remind her of our wagon. She liked our sedans more.

Thought this was funny. Had to share.

Old Smokey. Gone but never forgotten.

That's persuasive artwork. I wouldn't have seen the identifying characteristics which make it clear it was a graphic of a wagon until you pointed it out.

And OMG yes, these things can eat up the time and make for a trail of greasy hand prints all over the place.

One member here nursed back to health a couple of 300SD 116s over a period of years. Had to hang his hobby up for now in order to maintain marital bliss. Both of them suffered damage IIRC from random hit and run knuckleheads on the street, which made it a little easier to put it all aside.

For now.

Dang, nice job on her part.
In looking at it now, it made me think that MB should have offered a smaller roof rack for the sedans. I think her rending would have been really cool.

I had a mercedesshop.com sticker but unfortunately misplaced it.

Good art work on the sticker.

What? You mean like one Phil sent you?

That would be cool to see if you can find it. The good old days.
