W123 Auto to Manual conversion

I'm looking at a 1982 240D. At first I was thinking of this car as a possible parts car, but now I am considering actually having it be the project car.
The body is in better condition overall, and it does not have a sunroof (a huge plus given my recent experiences with sunroofs in these cars).
The car is an auto, and the trans has some sort of shifting issue. Maybe vacuum related, maybe something else.

I already have a 1981 240D with a manual transmission.(The current project car).
I am wondering what all is entailed in converting an auto car to a manual?
Is there any differences with the electrical harness that will need to be addressed?

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Right. I got that far all by myself.
I expect that engine, trans, drive shaft, and differential should all bolt in.
I will obviously need to add a the hydraulic clutch system to the auto car. Not sure how straightforward that will be.
I will also need to install the manual shifter. Again, not sure how straight forward that will be.

Also, as previously stated I'm wondering if there are differences in the harnesses of the vehicles that will need to be addressed.

Are you thinking of moving the driveline from the current manual trans car to the new one?
OR
Replicating the manual trans installation in the new car?

Both the pedal set and the shifter are bolt-ins.
If a cruise control is involved, wiring to the clutch switch would be required.

I would be looking to install engine, gearbox, drive shaft and differential from a manual transmission car into the chassis of a car that had formerly been fitted with an automatic transmission.
Along with clutch pedal and shifter as previously mentioned.

Thank you. This is helpful. I kind of figured that they would be.
