1986 300SDL Crank Sensor NLA - where to buy one - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I bought a cherry 86 SDL with the turbo 603. 200k miles, factory window sticker, virgin inside and out. Prior owner was an ancient Manhattan Project engineer and it lived an easy life at Oak Ridge and Hanford areas then sat for the last 20 years.

Car runs good once vac leaks were fixed but AC and Tach don't work. I dug thru the schematics and probed around and the crank speed signal was DOA. I pulled the sensor and pigtail and it rang out as an open (should read ~400 to 2k Ohm). I tore the potting off the VR coil and the coil is bad not the pigtail.

I spent 3+ weeks searching for a new Crank speed sensor ( OEM PN 0065425117 ) and all sources that show it in stock end up with it not being in stock and having to go the thru refund process (including Pelican not following thru after saying they had it/could get it). "That popular place that gives out fridge magnets with their orders..." shows one but after ordering it, it was not the correct sensor (WALKER 2351510 did not fit with it mechanically being too long and to small in diameter and it had the round circular style connector)

The one I need is the shorter stubby crank sensor that has two male pins on the connector with a plastic index pin (though I can reterminate the connector easily) and the sensor has the exposed magnetic core with a 45 degree slash cut on the tip.

Known PN's for this crank sensor for the 60x and 617 engines that I have found but all are not available are-
