Engine Block Drain Plug = 1977 300D
Replacing the coolant on a 1977 300D. Where in the heck is the drain plug for the engine block.

Should be on the passenger side of the block underneath the intake manifold around the 3rd/4th cylinder area.

That is right - maybe 17 or 19 mm. Not too big and if I remember correctly a crush washer goes underneath it.

It is a 19mm nut. It's real "fun" to get at when you have a turbo in the way.

Thankfully mine is a non-turbo, and it is a 19mm.
