Cool It Quit Making Blue Stinky Smoke

My 85 SD started blue smoke and real rough Idle. I mean alot of blue smoke and STINK. It started after I adjusted the valves.
Well I checked the timing as far as cam to crank goes. It was in time. I checked the valves for the third time and they were in specs. I was getting ready to do the dreaded IP timing next. My wife wanted to use the SD on a 800 mile road trip. Well I thought why not load the tank with injector cleaner. I put a 32oz of power kleen in a full tank. Then had her put 16oz of lucas injector cleaner in the next tank. Don't know which worked but now she runs smooth and clean. She got 31 mpg at 78 average speed. I guess I'm lucky. Now I can spend time on the dead SD I bought. This forum is great for DIYers and some experts ought to use it. Thanks Alan:p
