hi I have 80,456 on car oil cooler was replaced now have bad tapping from one valve do I need rebuild?

are u saying you only have 80k miles on an '83 SD?

if so that's amazing and if that's for real then doubt you need a rebuild maybe just a valve adjustment.

thank you , and thank you for replying .It had 077151 when I got it.from autotec the car now has 79,722 now heres the thing the engine was replaced with one that had 75,000 miles on it or so I was told after I bought it .did not find out till after the tapping started and autotec could not adjust the valve enuff to stop the tapping. got car on 7/26/02 what can I do?
