Can't Find It !!

I have the 124 2 disk CD Manual Set. I am trying to find the procedure for Wiper Assembly removal so that I can replace the blower motor. I can't find it !!! Has anyone ever seen it?? If so please let me know where to look.

Thanks,

Joe.

Wiper motor removal is job # 82-0680. Go to: 124(disc 2)>1987 300D>chassis and body> electrical system>body (82)>0680.

I have to chuckle I've had fun trying to find the simplest things on my W126 CD set. Maybe we should as a forum write a letter to Mercedes and suggest they go to a more modern, easy to use repair manual...... A PRINTED BOOK!!

Rick,
Maybe they could even put (dare I say it) clear photographs in this newfangled "book".

I had a helluva time with the cd procedure for removal of the dash on my 85 300d. The CD left out steps and terms they used were confusing. A step in the procedure told me to "remove the intrument switch" Now I have heard of the instrument cluster and the combination switch but not an instrument switch.

I ended up getting so frustrated that after having the dash 80% removed I just put it back together and said "forget it!"

I was trying to replace the center diaphragm actuator for my center vents and it was right in the middle of the dash behind the dash.

Personally, I havn't used my Chilton's manual in a while because that thing is so confusing. Now when I fix things, I just guess on how to fix it, and so far, so good. I figure when I need instructions on how to fix things, I just come here. For some reason this forum has the best people who know what they are talking about.

Ya, I agree. Next time I need to replace my hydrostatic-reeberstataor I'll ask here rather than try to find it in the manual. If no one here knows, then I'll dig into the CD's.
