blower fan problem

My blower fan comes on and off, seemingly at random. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the climate control system. Maybe a sensor somewhere has gone out of control and kicks the fan on whenever it wants. Anyway, I don't really know much about the climate control system to make an assesment, but that makes sense to me, so I wanted to run it by you guys.

Probably worn brushes. Can be replaced. Do a search on blower brushes.

Could also be a dead resistor in the resistor pack. Check the brushes first.
