Question broken clutch bracket? advice please

I have a chance to buy a 75 240d with a 4 speed. According to the present owner the car has a broken clutch bracket(the bracket that holds the slave cylinder, his words).
Everything else sounds good but I wanted to ask if this is an indication of abuse or something else being broken before I go see the car tomorrow.
Does anybody have a picture of this part so I can verify this is the problem and how would I test or bypass it.
Any clues and any estimates to repair will be appreciated.
Thanks for the help.

Take a jack and jackstands. You'll need to get under the car to verify this is the problem. It's not going to be moving if this is indeed the problem. I can't tell you what the bracket looks like. There's no picture in my manual but I get the impression the bracket is attached to the side of the transmission.

Question No pictures

I can't find pictures in chiltons or on the 115 cd.
I was trying to figure out before I looked at the car what repairs will require transmission removal and what can be done on a lift.
I am sure someone on here is familiar with the manual trany but I have not caught their attention yet. Maybe I will be able to tell when I look at it what can be done. Hoping to go look tomorrow.
Thanks for the help
