Why your 1980 85 240D 300D Console Lights may not work...

When I ran into problems with my Instrument Cluster, I replaced it. All my Dash Lights and Center Console Lights (HVAC, etc.) came on. Turns out there is a Rheostat (A white thing on back of Console) that controls these lights and whether they work--I thought the Rheostat just controlled the Cluster Box lighting...
