I have a warning light that is not stock. It intermitingly comes on when driving, usually not when idleing, but that's not a given. Anyway I want to make sure its not warning me of low oil pressure. There is an oil pressure gauge but it does not work. It looks stock so I assume its disconnected cause the stock one used a small oil line to and from the engine to the gauge. There is a temp gauge that seems to show engine temps to be ok.
How can I test to see if this light is for oil pressure? I would assume I need to locate the oil pressure sender and disconnect it then provide 12V to it while grounding the thing.... is this the right concept? Where is the oil pressure sender? Thanks in advance.
