126 auxiliary water pump

After having minimal heat over the winter, and verifying that the mono valve is OK, it appears that I need to go after the auxiliary pump. However, on the 126 it appears to be buried under the hoses of the mono valve. Anybody have any tricks to get at it for testing and or/removal?
