Question E300TD Glo plug replacement

How do I acomplish tis task.
ie
How do I get the intake manifold off ?

How do I determine which gloplug is bad ?
I suspect that I will change them all anyway but keep the good for emergency spares.

Thanks in advance for info,
Cheers,
FredV

FredV,

You can test the GP resistance with an ohmeter, digital type is best because you need a low range . Good GP have about 0.6 to 0.9 ohms reisitance. I would only replace any if one has a resistance more than 0.3 ohms more than the average of the others.

Replacing all is surperflous. Even if one goes bad, your engine will continue to run as usual. The only problem it will cause is a miss fire for a short time after a cold start. If your engine starts easily, there is nothing wrong with your GP. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
