Rear end clunk!
When I let off the accelerator, or step on it at low speeds (below 40) I sometimes hear a clunk from the rear end. The trans seems to shift ok.
Any ideas? Thanks, Joe

Your car is on its last legs...err...wheels. You need to sell it as quickly as possible. Will $1,000.00 take it off your hands?

Sounds like either a flex disk (cheap and easy) or the differential mounts (cheap parts, not so easy to install). Neither one of these is very difficult to diagnose, mostly need to get the car up on a lift and examine/grab/shake/twist everything looking for play. Any reasonably experienced MB mechanic should be able to zero right in on the cause.
