Remove W123 Rear Springs w/o Compressor?
I have a parts car 300D sitting here and a 240D that needs a set of REAR springs (I believe). I would like to remove them from the 300D and I do not have the "correct" compressor. Is it possible to safely remove them without a compressor? Perhaps by removing the halfshaft , then unbolting the top of the shock with the car on its trailing arms and then jacking the car up? I will have a shop install them on the 240D so I'm not worried about that aspect.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Rick
