I have HUGE hands...the only trick of it is that I have very thin fingers.
Pinky to thumb, hand spread wide...I can reach past the caps lock to enter key distance...

However yeah, for my dad, removing that rear cover would be impossible due to finger thickness. The bonus of the deal is, you may never have to remove the rear cover again. :)

thats bigger than mine...I can just barely touch the enter and caps lock at the same time.

Comes in handy though...espically when doing engine mount nuts on aircooled VW Bugs :)

GSXR, you have no idea how much I'd love to hear exactly what to do on a 603. This sort of thing makes me sad that I'll leave the car home when I go to college :(

Thanks
David

Please see my afore mentioned thread for continued discussion of this topic :)

Since this thread has not been about "Boost controllers" in many pages, I'll bring it back with my story. ;)

I love my 3K turbo, fast spool, great low speed sound and compact. My only gripe with it was the MAJOR boost creep above 3500rpm. No matter the setting. Set it to max out at 13psi and I would only get 7psi with normal driving. Set it to get 13psi around town and I would get 18+psi on the highway. I was pissed, I'd have to use my old, slow Garrett because the 3K was too hard to settle on a setting.

Brainstorm, :bulb: I used a $7 ebay ball and spring boost controller to gat more than 11psi with the garrett. Only problem was it gave me TOO much boost, even at it's lowest setting.

So I went to ACE hardware and got a "weaker" spring to use, put the controller in the 3K boost line, lowered the 3K wastegate spring tension and BAM! Stops dead on a 13psi nail. :D Now I can keep my favorite turbo and ditch the T3. (...and get this thread back in line! :D )

My guess is it allowed the wastegate valve to get more travel (Due to the tension adjusting screw not taking away valve travel.) and get better flow at high exhaust volume.

Hey forced induction do you have any specs or model numbers on that KKK turbo? I would really be interested in knowing how much if any bigger the wheels are than the garrett. I need a bigger turbo to go with my bigger pump. I really would like to have a nice 200rwhp in my om617 300d.:)

Have you actually modified (or had modified) a pump as of yet?

You need to consider the fact that just upping fuel and boost might get you in hot "water"...or exhaust gas if you will :)

Just a heads up...I presume you already know this but there is more to 200HP than just fuel and air additions ;) (IE probably need for intercooling)

I think the KKK may be smaller...than the Garrett..it spools a litle faster but maxes out at a lower boost level.

And if this is true, it means the KKK doesn't have as much room to give you extra air if you start adding in extra fuel and need it.

I have a garret and the main reason I like it is that I interchanged parts off of another one I have (off a ford?) and got myself a bigger compressor...higher volume of air when up in the RPM's matters when you are tweakin :)

yeah..I would like to try a T-3/T-4 Hybrid....along with more accurate pump tweaks...

KTA's got the full Myna job. Many 123 owners paid less for their car than he spent on the pump.
