I just bought a 1986 300SDL with 207K for $2000. The car was bought on the auction by dealer. When I bought it from the dealer I checed the engine only because the car was not driveble (bent tie rods). I towed it to my mechanic, changed the tie rods and front tires. On a test drive car was not changing gears at all. Everything looks all right. What should I check first? I read about B2 piston failure. Thanks for any help.
