switching 350 engine for 300 engine, need special tool M0734. anyone?

Hi guys, the 3.5 in my sdl finally gave up so I'm exchanging the long block. but the head won't come off without taking the timing belt tensioner rail off and you need an $61 tool for that. I believe in the past (7 years ago when I was a mercedesshop.com fanatic) there was a loaner tool program? is that still around?
or can anyone loan me the tool, and ship it? I can place a paypal deposit.

other than that, I need some info on what parts NOT to forget to replace, now that I'm deep inside the engine...
