Washer Check Valve... or it just a "T" ?

Ok, so I need to redo my front windsheild washer system

My pump works and the resev. is fine... but I need to do the tubing, the 45 degree bends and the "split" (check valve or "T" ??).

Here's my question. When I lok on Fastland and other places I see a bunch of differnt things for this. I see "T" and then I see "Washer Check Valve" (a few of those.)

Soooo, on my 83 300 TD... which one do I need? I'm sure if you open your hood, look up, you'll see on the inside of the hood what I'm talking about. Mine was busted up in a few spots...

Thanks,

GD

Checkvalve

U need to get a checkvalve. Otherwise the windshield liquid has to travel all the way up from the reservoir. Time and wear.

The checkvalve keeps the liquid from going all the way back into the reservoir.

I rebuilt my washer system last year on the Turtle. The splitter is a checkvalve , replace it as well as all the tubing and spring for new squirters while you're at it. I bought the double squirters for both sides, they can be aimed at 4 spots on the windshield ,much improvement from the old ones.

I'm finding a couple different check valves for the washer system... could you steer me toward the right one?

Thanks GD

Gottadiesel , the checkvalve that has the picture is the one that mounts on the rear of the hood , the other checkvalves may be for the rear system on your wagon . Fastlane also lists the nozzles (squirters)that I replaced as well , they also list 90* bends that I didn't use at the nozzles . That should be all the parts you need to buy , other than the tubing.

I was thinking about not using the 90's too! -- they're not much money... but the thought did cross my mind.

Since you bring up the rear washer... maybe you (or anyone) can help me out... my REAR resovior has a quarter size hole in the bottom. Is this somthing that FastLane can order for me, or what? Nobody shows it on their site. I have some rust under the res. area, so I need to POR15 that before I do anything else back there... but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

GD
