Good afternoon dieselheads. Friend of mine got into an accident ni NY and she needs help finding a decent body shop over there. Do any of you guys know of any? TIA for any help.

If your friend is on Long Island, NY, I recomend Kudrick's on Union Avenue in Holbrook. 631-737-4387

I have'nt seen his work on MB's in particular, but he does excellent work. I've seen a couple of 58-60 resto's as well as lots of top notch collision repairs come out of his place.

New York is a big place...Im told by some that I dont even live there....But comming at you from the Buffalo Area - could I be of any help?

If you are calling New York City - NY, then count me out...Buffalo is about 7 hours away...thats a bit.

My uncle runs a shop...he is low key, no ads, and very Good.

If she's near New York City and doesn't want to have to navigate Long Island (largest parking lot in the country), I know of a great place right off I-95 in Westchester called Star Auto. With moderate traffic, it's about 40 min. from the center of Manhattan. He's done some work on a friend's MG Midget and on another friend's 540i and they both were quality jobs. I'll post more specific info later when I get back home. The guy to talk to there is Quinney.

Star is great but they might be a little pricey (not a problem if it's going through insurance) but they do great work.

Euro Tech Auto Body is also good, the cost about the same but work a little faster. I've never seen their work but I know a few people who are very happy with them. The guy to talk to there is Lelo (tell him you know someone who uses Doug's Foreign, my mechanic). Here's their info:
