Number plate light

The rear number plate light in my W124 300D keeps burning out.
This actually happend every time my wife opens and closes the boot lid.

I am sick of this warning light comming on in the dash.
do I keep chnging the globs or do I change the wife?

I think you can get a LED replacement for the globe. Some how I dont think the blown globe has anything to do with your wife.

There are plenty over in the Open Discussion Forum who could give you advice about your wife!!

Where in Oz are you?

I have taken the whole thing out and filed the terminals, made sure they are a little tight where the globe sits.... etc..

I am in Sydney

The only thing I can think of is a bad earth on the boot light &/or the tail lights that is playing games with the globe. A slightly higher wattage globe may also help.
I am about 1000km south west of you.
