The rear number plate light in my W124 300D keeps burning out.
This actually happend every time my wife opens and closes the boot lid. I am sick of this warning light comming on in the dash. do I keep chnging the globs or do I change the wife? |

I have taken the whole thing out and filed the terminals, made sure they are a little tight where the globe sits.... etc..

The only thing I can think of is a bad earth on the boot light &/or the tail lights that is playing games with the globe. A slightly higher wattage globe may also help.
I am about 1000km south west of you.
