W201 slave cylinder clutch hose replacement

Howdy,

I've been having a problem with my clutch pedal being a little soft on my 190D 2.2. Yesterday I looked under the car and found that the rubber hose going from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder is about done (leaking, cracked).

My question is, has anyone replaced this before? I cannot find a source for this part. The usual parts sources have brake hoses, but not clutch hoses.

I've been advised to go to a hydraulics outfit and have them recrimp my old hose ends onto a new piece of hose. Anybody have good/bad luck with this. These ends are 20 years old.

Thanks much,

Sholin
