For the top oval I did like BoostnBenz, cut an oval out of stock with the gasket as a guide. For the Exhaust manifold, I cut off the part of the EGR that contacts the manifold and then cut some thinner aluminium to fit inside of it and used the stock clamp.

About 4 weeks now with NO leaks!

Yea that would work but in the hypothetical situation where I'd consider taking it off I'd always like the possibility of putting it back on.

I'm not sure your system is setup right 82-300td, but I can't really make out the pictures because they are so dark. I posted some alright pictures on my site under Vacuum of how it should be set.

I've got my setup custom rigged to the point that i don't really think anyone has the EXACT same setup. The first main line nipple is broken, no egr to control, valve to keep the engine running without the key, and the electric vacuum pump from an SD for the door locks.

Like I said, transmission shifts smooth and properly, ACC works as it should, brakes are fine, and doors lock completely.

Having the vacuum tank from a GM van and seperating the door locks and their tank from everything else helped out alot.

You know, I once hooked up a 3-way switch backwards and it worked for quite a while. It made no sense because one of the transfer wires were directly shorted with the common wire and the light's common wire was running off of the other transfer wire. It made no sense how this worked but it did....

I see...
The black line goes to the cabin, not the transmission...

What color line goes to the transmission? I can't make it out in the diagrams.

I have run with the vacuum lines completely disconnected, it made a big difference, so i know it must work somehow

I guess I'll just leave it as-is and not press my luck :D

A black line also goes to the transmission, it is the only exception to a black line in the car not being a vent.
