Top Radiator Mounts Missing ???
During a routine under-the-hood inspection, I noticed that my radiator is very loose at the top. I can move it back and forth almost an inch
![]() This is a '96 E300D. I'd appreciate if someone with a similar model could take a quick peek under the hood and let me know if there are indeed some clamps or something that secure the top of the radiator to the front end. Thanks a bunch !!! |

Yes, you are missing the clips there. I just looked at mine, they are showing part number A210 504 0146. You need 2.

I have almost the same car (1995 E300 Diesel), and the same radiator set-up as you.
Looking at your pictures, I can see that you are missing the two "U" shaped clips that hold the top of the radiator. Phil

Thanks guys. That's what I thought. And Thanks, Rick, for the part numbers.
Now I just have to find the parts somewhere .... |

I would guess they're a dealer item. WorldPac doesn't seem to have very many W210 parts yet. I can't imagine they'd be any more outrageous than the $9 I paid the dealership for a door lock knob.

Actually, my local indi was able to order them for a whopping $1.79 a piece.
Thanks for all the help. I feel much better about the radiator being strapped in place. It doesn't seem loose enought to get close to the fan - but you never know..... |
