Poor cold shifting

My 83 240D shift at higher speeds (5, 35 and 50) when cold but once it warms up it will shift at 5, 25 and 40.

Can this be adjusted?
I've checked for vacuum leaks but everything seems tight.

Not just cold weather. It will behave the same in the summer.
