MB Names?

So, who all names their trusty ol' MBs, and what are they? I'd love to hear the names and the reasons behind them.

I personally haven't named mine yet, but I'm thinking about it. There's just something about these old diesels that makes me want to name them. They seem to have more personality than other cars, I guess.

Anyway, post away! Hopefully I'll get inspired and come up with a name for mine.

Nate

Just in case anybody is wondering...... "Mercedes" was named for Frenchman's daughter.

When DBAG (Daimler Benz Auto Group) first got started, their success relied heavily upon ONE distribution source in France which sold practically all of the cars that they produced, single-handedly keeping the car company afloat.

When the auto company asked what they could do to show their gratitude, the Frenchman replied: "Please include my daughter's name in your product."

"My Bi*ch"

She does what I want, when I want it done (With some groaning and griping at times).

I don't know how many people would choose a name like this, but I did.

Because my first thought after a few days with this car was that she will eventually hurt me, one way or another.

"Mercedes" was name of a car designed in about 1900 by Wilhelm Maybach for Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft. It was named after his daughter. Thankfully, the French had little to do with it.

My '82 Grey SD is called "The Grey Ghost" and my '86 SDL is referred to as "D2" either for daily driver 2 or diesel 2

87 300SDL is named 'moby'... the white whale of course.
85 300D is still waiting for an appropriate name, though greenie is getting close. My wife thinks it looks green, even though it is anthricite grey.
my 87 volvo 240 wagon was called the band aid- for the color.

Yeah, I'm leaning close to naming mine "Kermit." You know, it's not easy being green...

240D - Perfesser Leaky
E300 - Big Smokey
TDI - Lil Smokey

Misspellings are deliberate.
