tried to use search function but no luck

My aunts car suddenly developed a squek from the belts. My Dad, tried to tighten it till he can't tighten it no more. What do you guys use to clean the pulleys?

much thanks

Janko, tried the bar of soap last night, squeeled again this morning. Does anyone know what to use to clean the pulleys? I wanna make sure that the pulleys are squeeky clean first.

depends on which belt is squeaking. if it's the a/c belt then you have to move the compressor to tighten it which can be a b***h. i let my indy do it when the car was on the lift for something else.
