I have a '82 300D turbo that has just started to blow heavy white smoke from a dead stop, turns, etc. I am not a mechanic and took it to a shop today (not a Mercedes specialist).
They tell me that there is oil in the air filter system and that, basically the engine is shot; it either needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Oh, God. I've only had the car for a year. He suggests that I don't even do it... "get out of the.." PLEASE, if anyone has advise. I really need it. thanks, Joe A |
