That is what they are ASKING for it.... if it were within a hundred miles of me I would go see it just to be able to say I had....
It might be a spectacular car... would not hurt to drive it.... then come back and tell us your impression.... we kid about the 240d's being slow... but I have no complaints about my manual 240d.... and everyone that has a wagon loves it....they are rock solid out on the road... completely different feel from the sedans... |

I wouldn't mind having one of those. I love my Euro 240D. I,ve got a nice MB tex interior now as I am not so wild about about the cloth but some folks love the cloth, If I had a front Euro bumper (I have a rear bumper) I would put them on my wifes car, nice look. No problems associated with the Euro aspect so far:) |
Update on the "240" wagon.
I called the seller a little while ago and he said he had it sold in the first hour the paper was out. Now the story about the car. It originally was a 5 cylinder and since he had some head problems with it, instead of getting involved with the expense of fixing it, he said he put a 4 cylinder in it. It was a real slug according to him and he got tired of people riding his rear end all the time, he put it up for sale. It had 200K miles on it according to the seller.

LOL... yes.... a 240 automatic , with an additional 300 pounds...and the rear axle ratios left the same probably.... that very well may be a Slug..... LOL

I was told that the car was a 4-speed manual. I didn't ask but I'm assuming he did it as a complete engine and tranny swap.
