300D Suspension riddle

Here's the riddle

When I make a left/right hand turn, the turn is not very sharp.

If I am traveling at some speed, even slow, and I make a sharp turn, the tires might squeel

What Am I? (pls. the correct answer is NOT crazy)

You are running factory tires and rims.

The second part can and will be caused by your toe in not being set correctly... or your suspension not in good enough shape to keep the toe in ' set' .
I had this on my wagon when I first got it... I was squeeling ALL OVER TOWN.. very embarrassing....
After much crawling around and measuring I set it to specs.. and it was gone...
Also check to see that your wheel bearings are set to proper tightness...
If your turn CAN NOT be made as tight as normal... then something may be wrong inside your steering box.... if you can only make a normal tightness turn in ONE direction then your steering box and wheel were not centered when work was done on your alignment...

Another Clue....

OK.. so-far so-good... Time for another clue..

Yesterday, the streets were wet.. When turning into a strip center, the car went into a prolonged skid. I've NEVER had a Benz do that except on a solid piece of ice!!

TIres are Michelin Energy - very good condition..

My OEM Michelin tires are the only tires that have pulled or helped me loose control of the vehicle in wet weather.
