I live off the grid and a normal block heater isnt possible, so Ive been looking for something other than electric heating. The unit is pretty snazzy, it runs on a little diesel from the fuel tank and uses a small amount of power from the battery, brings the engine up to temp in about 40 min. on a winter day before starting...BUT: $800 !!!

Anyone know about anything simular out there more affordable?
