Mercedes Wheel Bearing Longevity?

I have my 1987 Mercedes 300D Front End completely broken down now. I have spent quite a bit on new Eccentric Bolts, Ball Joints and Struts and knuckles.

At 220K do any of you feel that the Wheel Bearings require
replacement? I dont think they ever came up for replacement in my 300D W123's until the 300K mark..

Do any of you concur? I want to rebuild the front end well, but i dont want to Gold Plate it! Thanks
