Reseting the CEL on W210
Will all check engine lights go out after 40 or so ignition resets if the code is no longer being thrown ?
and where is the OBD II connector on theses late models, under the Drivers Dash? Will the Auto Zone OBD II Scanner work to reset the CEL. I changed the glow plugs on my 97E300D and when I was check the Ohm via the Relay harness I forgot to plug it back in before attempting to start it. This through a CEL. Ive driven about 500 miles and it is still on not sure how many ignition resets, though I will try the 40 number tonight. Any advise is greatly appreciated. |

I have an Auto X-Ray unit and I can reset the MIL anytime I have it. Depending on what you are trying to do, there are 2 ports. One that is MB and you need the star system thingy and the other is a generic OBD I port

If the auto-xray will work, the autozone scanner should work. Is that one you buy, or autozone will just reset it for you for free?
