99 E300TD CE & code PO100 ===> HELP PLS.
CE came on this evening. When got home gave code PO100 "MAS or Volume air flow circuit malfunction". No other codes.
Erased code, started back up a few times in garage and code has not reappeared. While present, seemed like turbo may not have been boosting at least some of the time when first lit up. Difficult to know for sure; was rushing around too much through traffic trying to get 6 y/o daughter home from s6pm wimming lessons, fed, to bed at 7pm and packed adn ready for long weekend with Dad, Gma & Gpa in Monterey. Typical day in the life of a single parent with a 3 hour daily commute. So....whats up. Is the MAS going out? Gone? Intermittment fault? Or good to go to meet up with Gma as didnt come back on? Dont believe is related but have noticed this week a slight stutter where RPM dips 25-50 or so only when hot and sitting at idle. Was thinking perhaps was a bad spray pattern developing in one injector? Comments? Suggestions? All appreciated.

I would disconnect the MAS electrical connection and clean both the male and female sides with electrical contact cleaner.
If the code reappears, it probably is your MAS which has been known to fail on these vehicles. You have the consolation though of knowing that: 1) They are relatively inexpensive 2) EXTREMELY easy to replace

Sounds about like mine. The dealer cleared the code and it came back a week later so they replaced the MAS under the extended warranty.
