1979 300TD NA Speedo Query

I've tried the search function and didnt really find the answer to my query...

I'd like to know for those with Euro Spec 300TDs if your Speedo Cluster is like mine... I have a 3.46 diff.. and if we were to follow the yellow marks on the gauge, it seems impossible for me to reach the speeds indicated by the shiftpoints on the gauge. I tried to "manually" shift the tranny by placing it in L, then move to S (3rd gear max i presume) and tried to reach 120KPH.. but i only reached 100KPH and was already scared out of my wits for fear of blowing my engine. I'm wondering if i have the wrong speedo cluster.

And if i do have the wrong cluster, where should those shift points be located?
