hints for hot, hot weather operation?

It's getting hot here, will be over 110 for another couple of months, with highs in the 120-125 range at least a couple weeks in there.

So far, I've: stayed on top of oil changing at 3k miles or less, last one was 6 weeks apart; replaced the radiator/thermostat and MB coolant; new belts and hoses; tranny fluid at 15k; new tires next payday; and extra attention to leather conditioner and wash/wax.

Any other wisdom from you wise ones on how to stay ahead of the heat? A/C is working great, wondering about any preventative compressor maintenance...

thanks...

Question

Sounds like you covered all the bases!

I've wondered lately if the AC compressor is more stressed while at hiway speeds as opposed to around town speeds?

With that compressor clutch kicking on every time at between 2500 and 3000 rpm, I wonder if this shortens it's life, again as apposed to 1200 to 1600 rpm?

Anybody have some imputs on this?

thanks for the 9-blade fan hint, makes good sense. And for the syn-oil, which I of course won't get into with so many good threads on that already. Yes, RLD, you are right on. But no cover for the Benz, don't want to trap that heat...do leave a couple windows cracked. And true, it's a good time of year for indoor activities. Thanks again forum....
